Esaens are scattered all around the world. The name ‘Esaens’ refers to the human-divine encounter. It relates Esse – Being, God, Creator, Reality. Divine to Ens – being, soul, person, thing. human.
The name is deliberately broad and non-denominational as we focus on the relationship between an individual and the divine and not on theology, philosophy, or ecclesiastical structure.
We define religion as: THE FEELINGS, ACTS, AND EXPERIENCES OF A PERSON IN THEIR SOLITUDE, SO FAR AS THEY APPREHEND THEMSELVES TO STAND IN RELATION TO WHATEVER THEY MAY CONSIDER THE DIVINE as so attract people from many faiths and backgrounds.
In our experience, each individual must find their own way and it is the discovery of such a personal way that appears to be an essential part of all profound religious experiences.
With this in mind, we do not make any mystical experience “absolutely authoritative” for anyone other than the individual who had it. Rather than imposing our experiences on others we respect and celebrate one another’s experiences of God.
We cannot know when the sweeping forces of the unseen world will rewrite our convictions and forever alter the maps of our interior lives. Esaens live in an unanticipated future, in a world more sweetly magical, sublimely mystical, and intrinsically beautiful than they had ever hoped to know. But the entry price into this new world was the dissolution of an older one.
We also offer inspiration to people that are yet to experience God.
